Here we are. This shot was done on a way over to Rostov from Krasnodar. There aere a lot of suflowers they grow. The sign over our head says Merry Life. I guess this is the name of a small town on a way. We didn't check it out of how merry it's out there. May be some day. Our life is definately merry at the moment. We serve our mission and this is our first month.
А вот и мы. Этот снимок был сделан по пути из Краснодара в Ростов. Там выращивают много подсолнечника. Надпись над нашей головой это название какого то посёлка. Мы там ещё не были и не знаем насколько там весело. Может быть когда нибудь. Мы служим на миссии и скучать нам не приходится.

Sweden, May 2009. Baltic seashore.

I went to Sweden with a friend of mine. The main reason was to got to the Temple. And besides we both like photography. This picture was taken by my friend Sergey.

Here you can see simbols of Easter. The Easter cake and a bunny. I believe all the Russian families are getting those cakes and painting egs. Buny although is not that popular in Russia. We have both in our family. I think it's Wesetrn influence :)

На этой фотографии вы можете видеть пасхальные символы. Кулич и кролик. Думаю, что все российские семьи приобретают (или пекут) куличи и красят яйца. Кролик ещё не так популярен в России. Думаю наша семья испытала западное влияние. :)

This picture was taken in Moscow by Sokol subway station. You can see this old lady with megaphone who advertise one real estate agency. It's getting tough nowdays. I guess it's cheaper to hire old people. Crisis...

Carnival - not Brazilian.

This dancer look like Brazilian doesn't she? But it's not Brazil. Actually I've never been there yet.

I took this picture last Friday at Phoforum which took place in Moscow. It's international photo tardeshow which takes place every Spring. There were different kind of promotions at that show this is one of them. The main idea is to attract cusomers to their stand.

Эта танцовщица выглядитт как бразилианка не правда ли? На самом деле я пока ещё не был в Бразилии. Я сделал эту фотографию на Фотофоруме, который проходил в Москве. Это международная выставка проходящая каждую весну. На этой выставке проводились различные акции, целью которых было привлеч покупателей к своему стенду. Это одна из них.

I love pancakes.

How do you like this cow pancake? A friend of ours gave that special frying pan to my wife as a Christmas present. I like this funny shape. It feels like it tastes even better.

Как вам нравится этот "коровий блин"? Подруга подарила моей жене на Рождество специальную сковороду. Мне нравится эта забавная форма. Кажется, что даже вкус от этого лучше.

Lock tree.

There is a tradition in Moscow (and may be in some other places in Russia too). The new weds put the lock on a bridge and then throw the key to water. The city authorities have built a few metal trees in order to help out to new weds to hang their lock on. This is one of them. My son and his wife wanted to hang theirs too.
В Москве (а может быть и вдругих местах) существует традиция, когда молодожёны вешают замок на мосту, а затем выбрасывают ключ в воду. Городские власти установили несколько металлических деревьев, чтобы было место куда повесить замок. Мой сын и его жена тоже повесили свой.

To work with your own food.

I've met this group of men this morning. They're working not far from my office. They build a new flyover down by metro Sokol. It's needed badly here. Most of those men are from outside of Moscow. It's pretty tough circumstances they live in.
Я встретил эту группу мужчин сегодня утром. Они работают недалеко от моего офиса. Они строят новую развязку в р-не метро Сокол. Эта развязка так необходима. Большинство из этих людей не из Москвы. Живут в довольно сложных условиях.

On my way to work this morning I stopped and made this picture. As you noticed today is 25 March. It should be warm but it's not! It is snowing. You can see snowflakes on my lense.

Сегодня по пути на работу я остановился, чтобы сделать этот снимок. Как вы заметили, сегодня 25 марта и должно быть тепло, но самом деле холодно! Идёт снег. На объективе видны снежинки.

The victor and beaten.

I took this picture in Tula, Russia. I named it "The victor and beaten". You can see the irony I presume. The beaten looks pretty good this days (I mean Mersedes). Those "Katyushas" were quite nasty weapon during a World War 2.
Tula is famous for making weapons.
Этот снимок я сделал в Туле и назвал его "Победитель и побеждённый". Надеюсь вы заметили иронию этого снимка. "побеждённый" (я имею в видуМерседес) выглядит довольно хорошо. Катюши были очень опасным оружием во время Второй Мировой.
Тула известна своими традициями в производстве оружия.

Hotel Versailles. Vladivostok, Russia.

This is hotel where I was staying when I went to a bussiness trip in Vladivostok. As you can tell it's morning. Hotel is situated in the center of the city.

Это готиница в которой я останавливался во время командировки во Владивосток. Как вы можете судить это утро. Отель расположен в центре города.

Snowy road.

Obviously it's Winter in Russia. This road goes through a frozen lake which situated not far from Moscow. For those of you who live in warm countries it's even cold to look at such a picture. :)

В России зима. Эта дорога пролегла через замёрзшее озеро. Для тех из вас, кто живёт в тёплых краях, наверное холодно даже просто смотреть на этот снимок :)

Industrial morning

It's cooled off in Moscow. What you can see on this picture is a power plant. It goes full speed to burn whatever they burn there to produce heat.

В Москве похолодало. На фотографии вы можете видеть теплоцентраль. Кочегарят вовсю. Не знаю что они там сжигают - главное произвести тепло.
